ProfileI am a photographer living and working in Aberdeen, Scotland, but had spent most of my life in the Northeast of England, County Cleveland. Although I have been a photographer for almost 25 years, working in various fields of commercial photography before I realized that this was not what I go into the medium for .I spent years retracing my initial interest in photography before deciding to go to university,I only graduated in 1999 as a mature student with a B.A. (hons) in photography. During my time at University I had the opportunity to visit Krakow and Oswiecim in Poland, Oswiecim has the Auschwitz museum and Auschwitz-Birkenau sites. I also took a student exchange, under the Socrates-ERASMUS program, to Granada in Southern Spain and made a visit to Valencia for the extraordinary festival of "Las Fallas", which I can thoroughly recommend.
Here you will find examples of my work, most of it revolves around my personal approach to photography, my main interest is landscape but I do like to work within the other genres, always experimenting with various techniques and modes of working. I am currently a member of two "cults" within photography, as a user of rodinal film developer and the Diana camera.
All work is for sale in one form or another please e-mail me for details. I am also available to run workshops in photography and darkroom techniques.
